Brain-Boosting Superfood Smoothie

Just like we all have unique superpowers, certain foods have their own special powers!

Life can get busy. Even for someone like me who actively rejects hustle culture, the days can be full, and there isn’t always time to get all of the nutrients we need.

While there are some downsides to smoothies and shakes when it comes to blood sugar management, in moderation they can be a strong complement to a well-balanced diet. I never recommend that clients replace a meal with a smoothie, but having one as a snack, or just after a workout can provide a boost of energy and nutritional benefits.

This recipe is designed to fuel your brain and body, keeping you sharp, focused, and feeling great. The spinach has brain-boosting folate, and the avocado provides healthy fats which help with cognitive function. Chia seeds provide the very important fiber, and the banana gives you potassium and flavor. A little cinnamon will also help with balancing your blood sugar so you don’t get that spike and crash that often happens when making a smoothie.
